Insinkerator Hot/Cool Faucet
Believe it or not, the holidays are upon us and with all the chaos 2020 has thrown our way, we thought we’d try and make life a little easier for you! Whether you’re keeping it small this year or sticking with the usual holiday crew, we want to help streamline your kitchen time so you can enjoy more of the festivities. We sat down with a few of our showroom consultants to discuss their holiday kitchen hacks to increase the festivities and decrease the stress. Before you hit dial up your favorite martini recipe (The Vesper), let’s see what they had to say.
Today’s product hack is the new Insinkerator Hot/Cool Faucet. Showroom Manager, Jennie Wunderlich gave us the run down on this exciting new product and all the ways it can improve your holiday spirit!
“An Insinkerator Hot/Cool Faucet is a small faucet that is usually mounted on a kitchen sink near an upper corner, or at a bar or prep sink,” Jennie said. “There is a small hot tank that is underneath the sink which keeps about 2/3 gallons of water hot and ready to use at an instant. It is wonderful to be able to have very hot water (usually about 190°F and 210°F) ready when you want it.”
The requirements to have one of these installed are minimal, making them a perfect ‘quick fix’ before the holidays!
You do not need any special water lines under your sink to add this faucet. but you will want filtration to increase the longevity of your hot tank. Insinkerator has a filtration system that is designed to be used with their hot tanks and fits under your sink as well.
Your plumber will usually T-off from your cold-water line already under your sink to send water to the filter and hot tank. You also need electrical power for the hot tank to be plugged in. Usually there is already an electrical outlet under your sink, but you will want to make sure there is a spot available for plugging in the tank.
Another bonus to these hot/cool faucets is that Insinkerator’s new line is made to match! HUGE win for those of you who have an eye for even the smallest of details.
“The new showroom collection from Insinkerator is available in many styles and colors to coordinate with your main kitchen faucet and other design elements in your kitchen. They even have the trendy new colors, matte black and gold in different styles,” said Jennie.
If you’ve made it this far and you’re still enticed, you’re probably wondering ‘how in the world this will help me during the holidays?’ Don’t worry, Jennie gave us a list and we checked it twice.
Below are just a few of the many ways this faucet helps Jennie when she’s hosting her family for the holidays:
Running a knife under instant hot water before using it to cut cake, pie, brownies, & bars is wonderful, and running an ice cream scoop under hot water before use helps it slide through tough ice cream much easier!
The hot water helps get food off plates quickly when trying to get dishes done efficiently and get back to the festivities.
Quickly make a mac & cheese cup for a 6-year-old boy who seems to be hungry all the time and waiting until the holiday meal is very challenging.
A quick cup of cinnamon or peppermint tea during the holidays without having to use the stove or microwave? Love it.
Family and friends still at the stage where they need to thaw breast milk can quickly do so with a cup of very hot water, without the fuss and attention of everyone in the kitchen.
